Challenges of unsolicited resumes

Looking for a job can be difficult because job seekers and employers have different ways of finding each other.

Sometimes, we might think we have applied for a job correctly by sending an email and resume, but the employer only accepts applications through a website.

Employers also prefer to hire people they already know or who have a connection to someone in the company. This means that just sending in a resume might not be enough to get hired.
